A “star” belt in the flat transmission belt—the structure of the composite flat belt and its characteristics.
There are many types of flat transmission belts, and the composite flat belt is one of them. It has various structures, but they are basically the same, that is, the main part is composed of a strong layer (bearing layer) and a surface layer.
The tenacity layer is mainly used to bear the tensile force, and is generally made of nylon (nylon) sheets that have been pre-stretched in a strong direction, or made of nylon cords and polyester cords. Because the use of nylon sheet as the strength layer is the most common, it is habitually called “nylon sheet-based flat belt” in China, and also called “strong nylon belt”, “nylon sheet transmission belt”, “nylon flat tape” and so on.
The strength layer is usually only one layer, but there are also multiple layers stacked together. The surface layer refers to the working surface or friction surface, and there are two kinds of single-sided and double-sided. The single-sided one has only one working surface, which can be used as a single-sided open drive. It cannot be used with a belt fork or alternately on both sides, so it is not widely used. And most items are double-sided. The materials of the two surface layers are the same or different.
The most commonly used are:
1. The materials of the two surface layers are synthetic rubber;
2. The materials of the two surface layers are chrome-tanned leather;
3. One side of the two surface layers Synthetic rubber and chrome-tanned leather on the other side.
