1、 Common rubber belt breakage
In daily life and work, there are various reasons that can cause rubber belts to break. For example, long-term use can cause aging damage, excessive tension, prolonged overload or no-load, etc. The fracture location is usually at the edge or stretching point of the rubber belt, and after the fracture, it is necessary to carry out timely connection treatment to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
2、 A Simple Connection Method for Rubber Belt

  1. Prepare tools. The tools required to connect the rubber belt are only a small knife, a pair of pliers, and a new rubber belt.
  2. Use a small knife to cut both ends of the fracture flat, making it appear straight cut for easy connection.
  3. Cut the length of the new rubber belt and shape the end on one side into a “V” shape to facilitate the engagement of the interface position.
  4. Insert the V-shaped end of the new rubber belt into the fracture, paying attention to aligning their centerline positions and placing some appropriate glue around them to increase their tightness.
  5. Use pliers to tighten the interface and make it tightly bite together. After processing, gently pull the rubber belt with your hand to test whether the interface is secure.
    3、 Precautions
  6. Power off or turn off the equipment before operation to ensure personal safety.
  7. The width and material of the new and old rubber belts are the same, otherwise it may cause the equipment to malfunction.
  8. The interface should be smoothed as much as possible to improve the engagement of the joint.
If you encounter difficulties during the connection operation, do not forcefully connect to avoid damaging other equipment components.
    4、 Summary
The above is a simple connection method for rubber belt breakage. In practical operation, for complex joints or high technical difficulties, it is recommended to invite professional personnel to operate to ensure that the joints are firm and the equipment operates stably. In regular equipment maintenance, it is also necessary to regularly inspect and replace the rubber belt to ensure the smooth operation of the equipment.
